Introducing Denver Chiropractor
Dr. James Doran

"I hate to admit it but... I was a skeptic."

Arvada Chiropractor Dr. James Doran

Dr. Jim Doran first experienced chiropractic's extraordinary healing benefits after suffering from various injuries while training as a competitive triathlete.

"I really became interested in chiropractic after being injured while training for triathlons. Immediately after my shoulder injury I couldn't swim and even running and riding the bike were difficult. I had a close friend that was attending chiropractic college and he convinced me to go see a chiropractor. I admit that I was pretty skeptical at first but I was also hurting pretty badly and decided that I needed to do something! Within a week I was training as hard as ever and feeling great!"

Dr. Doran received his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Colorado State University and his Doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic where he was on the Dean's list as well as helping other students as a graduate teaching assistant. During his four years of study at Palmer College, courses focused on biochemistry, human anatomy and physiology, neurology, x-ray, chiropractic adjusting techniques and lastly providing patient care in the Palmer Chiropractic Clinic. After establishing the Chiropractic Wellness Center, Dr. Doran became certified in acupuncture to help expand the treatment options available to his practice members.

"We offer people a different way to think about their health and more importantly, not just feeling better but being healthier." In addition to helping people get out of pain, Dr. Doran helps people to improve their eating and exercise habits as well.

"While I still like to run and ride, I have cut back on the triathlons to just one or two races every couple years. One thing I haven't been able to give up, no matter how bad I-70 gets, is skiing and snowboarding."

"I really feel that diet and exercise are just as important as chiropractic care for people that want to stay healthy and feel good. I try to exercise at least four or five times a week. My background in nutrition also helps me keep my diet (I consider 'diet' just a word to describe the foods I eat, not a list of what I can or can't eat) in check."

"That's enough about me! Give us a call or email me using the link below and let's arrange a time to go figure out how chiropractic can help you not only feel better but be healthier!"

Dr. Jim Asks some important questions of interest to Denver residents - Chiropractor Denver Dr. Jim Asks...

What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Denver parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
